KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES :
Provide technical support for bp’s regional assets, The PSI Engineer reports directly to the IMDL. This role delivers support to integrity management program, promotes consistency and standardization of application of inspection across the regions, and oversees technical deliverables in alignment with bp engineering practices, industry standards (e.g., API, ASME), and regulatory requirements.
Focal point for the update of the RBA programme and forward inspection requirements
Act as a key source of technical advice on inspection techniques and methodologies
Provide engineering support in the evaluation of equipment damage and failures to determine the impact on piping, pressure vessel, heat exchanger and equipment integrity and its repair recommendation.
Act as the key interface to the RBA and technical assurance of the Inspection Data Management System database
Responsible for the assurance of Site Inspection Activities during operation and turnarounds
Provide engineering support to develop and implement inspection schemes for production facilities, compliance with applicable Site Technical Practices / Engineering Technical Practices, industry codes, regulations, and specifications, including as appropriate.
Monitor site inspection activities performed by the contractor, review, evaluate and approve inspection reports generated by the contractor.
Ensure pressure system -related risks are clearly understood, effectively controlled, and continuously mitigated to enable safe and reliable operations.
Support standardization of Integrity Management work processes and procedures, including anomaly management, use of Inspection Data Management Systems (IDMS), and application of risk-based assessment and fitness-for-service tools.
Support bp Group, Safe & Operating Risk Assurance (S&ORA), and subject matter audits; perform self-verification of PSI programs and intervene when necessary to ensure integrity compliance.
Drive continuous improvement through development and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs), including regional technical performance metrics, to enhance system reliability and program effectiveness.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCES :
Have educational background from Material Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
Industrial Engineering with relevant over 10 years' of experience
Regional operating experience in Pressure Systems Integrity (PSI) support for, with a consistent track record in leading inspection activities, inspection data management, integrity assessments, fitness-for-service evaluations, and the development of modification and repair plans for pressure equipment during the operational phase.
Strong knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., API, ASME), project execution, engineering documentation, management of change (MoC), risk assessments, inspection strategies, and process safety management.
In-depth understanding or proven experience in the integrity management of pressure systems, including piping, pressure vessels, boilers, and associated equipment,
Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and influence across multi-disciplinary teams, with experience managing or coordinating Integrity or Pressure Systems teams.
Comprehensive experience in risk-based and integrity-driven approaches for pressure systems in operational assets, ensuring regulatory compliance and asset reliability.
Proven ability to generate value through the development and implementation of cost-effective and risk-informed improvement programs related to pressure systems integrity.
