As a CNC Press Brake Machinist, you will play a crucial role in the setup and operation of CNC press brakes to meet precise blueprint specifications. This position involves editing and manipulating machine code, changing tooling, and ensuring the quality of machined parts.
ResponsibilitiesSet up material and machine offset on a CNC press brake according to blueprint specifications.Edit and manipulate code on the CNC press brake to run new jobs and parts.Change out machine tooling to meet fabrication requirements.Load and unload machines using hoists, jib cranes, and overhead cranes with raw materials and finished goods.Perform quality inspections of all machined parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and CMM/Faro.
Essential SkillsProficiency in operating a press brake and interpreting blueprints.Experience with quality inspection processes.Ability to use overhead cranes and other material handling equipment.
Additional Skills & QualificationsConsistent work history with non-attendance based reasons for leaving employment.Experience in machining and fabrication beyond production machining.Previous press brake experience is mandatory.

Work Environment
The machine shop is climate-controlled and organized into cell groups on the far east end of the production floor, promoting efficient material flow. Each cell typically accommodates no more than two machinists, providing a focused work environment. While ventilation is good, occasional work on galvanized steel may create a haze in the welding area.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
