**Now Hiring Assistant Machine Operator in York, PA!** 3rd shift Opportunity, MUST be willing to train on first shift Pay: $19.50/hr +Shift Differential Growth Opportunity! **Job Description** The Press Assistant role is essential for setting up and supporting printing presses, ensuring all operations align with specified printing requirements and customer expectations. **Responsibilities** + Assist the Operator with print jobs and facilitate quick changeovers for seamless transition to the next job. + Perform external make-ready operations in preparation for changeover activities, including switching from one label job to another. + Conduct external clean-up activities following changeover. + Clean ink pans and ancillary equipment efficiently. + Strip plates from cylinders with precision. + Locate dies to and from the press accurately. **Essential Skills** + Ability to read and understand a job ticket. + Proficiency in inputting data into a computer system. + Mechanically inclined with an understanding of machine operation and production processes. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Previous printing experience is highly beneficial. + Previous machine operating experience is advantageous. + Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively in a team setting. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Proficiency in reading a ruler and understanding measurements. **Why Work Here?** Once the contractor transitions to a permanent role, they will enjoy a generous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and 401(k).
