Our core values are traits that shape how we interact with each other, with our communities, and with our patients. We always show concern and express empathy for each other and the individuals in our community.

Diversity is important to us. We include, respect, and value fellow employees and community members, not in spite of, but because of the differences in our backgrounds and cultures.

Innovation is part of who we are.  We strive to continually introduce new ideas, technologies, and methods in our workplace that lead to better quality and efficiencies.

We always express appreciation, regard, and consideration for each other, those that use our health center services, and the community at large.  This is our commitment to respect.

We believe in teamwork.  We work together to create efficiency and effectiveness, proactively collaborating with fellow employees, patients, and community members.

In 1970, East Boston Neighborhood Health Center opened its doors to address a critical need for health care among an underserved community. Since then, we’ve operated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We’ve grown with our communities, ensuring that everyone has access to high-quality care close to home. We’ve expanded the scope of our services but never strayed from our original mission.  Today we are among the largest federally qualified health centers in the country, and the largest in Massachusetts, committed to providing continuous, award-winning, and high-quality care.  In 2024, the Department of Health and Human Services’ Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) recognized NeighborHealth as one of the nation’s leading health centers combating health inequity in diverse communities. We were awarded a total of four quality badges, including one National Quality Leader gold badge and one Health Center Quality Leader silver badge.
