We are a private Christian preschool located in Modesto, CA. We serve students 2-5 years of age. Our school is learning based to prepare students to attend elementary school. It is our goal that all children have a sense of acceptance, significance, and well-being during their stay with us. Young children learn through intellectual challenges, positive self-esteem, and integrative peer play. Job Summary Job Summary

Key Responsibilities * Plan and implement age-appropriate, hands-on lesson plans that align with our faith-based and STEAM-focused curriculum * Set daily, weekly and monthly learning objectives to support developmental milestones * Create and maintain a safe, clean, and engaging classroom environment * Manage classroom behavior using positive, developmentally appropriate strategies * Maintain and update children’s developmental portfolios and conduct regular assessments * Communicate with parents regularly regarding their child's progress and needs * Conduct parent-teacher conferences twice per year or as needed * Mentor and support assistant teachers, aides, or volunteers in the classroom * Participate in planning and execution of school events and activities * Stay current with ECE best practices through ongoing professional development * Ensure compliance with all local and state licensing regulations * Participate in emergency drills * Attend required staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development * Serve as a positive role model for children, families, and colleagues * Demonstrate regular, reliable attendance and professional conduct Character Fit * Warm, joyful, and nurturing demeanor * Strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and reliability * Positive attitude, cooperative spirit, and flexible with change * Passionate about working with young children * Respectful of cultural, developmental, and learning differences * Committed to living and modeling Christian values

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of California licensing and ECE regulations Experience with behavior management and classroom structure Ability to integrate STEAM activities into daily lessons Proficiency in documentation, progress reports, and parent communication Bilingual or multilingual ability is a plus Strong teamwork, flexibility, and time management skills Able to work independently and take initiative in the classroom

Physical Requirements

Must be able to sit, kneel, crouch, and move quickly to support and engage children Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds Approximately 85% of the workday is spent actively in the classroom with children Physical tasks include sitting on the floor, running during outdoor play, or lifting children

* Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (ECE)OR completion of at least 24 ECE/CD units with general education coursework * Minimum 1 year of lead teaching experience in a licensed preschool classroom * Certifications & Documentation * Official college transcripts verifying ECE coursework * CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain) * LiveScan fingerprint/background clearance * Current TB test and required immunizations (MMR, Tdap, Flu) * Valid California Driver’s License * Must be at least 18 years of age Communication & Cultural Fit * Must demonstrate strong English skills in both speaking and writing * Willingness to support and work in a Christian/faith-based teaching environment * Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and coworkers from diverse backgrounds
