Research and stay updated on latest and emerging technologies related to the Company’s products and services. Research and understand the applicability of (1) to the Company’s products and services, and champion necessary innovations within the Company to take advantage of said latest and emerging technologies. Meet with new and current customers and stakeholders (both internal and external) to better establish understanding of their various challenges and explore and eventually provide possible solutions to said challenges. Prove the feasibility (technical and financial) of proposed solutions through the development and presentation of proofs-of-concept and feasibility studies. Train and mentor software engineers in the implementation of technical solutions. Propose updates to technical stack and technical standards of the organization and projects, whenever applicable. Lead the design and implementation of cloud-based or traditional (ie. on premises) infrastructure to be used either internally or by customers. Design and implement manual and automated deployment processes. Lead the optimization of existing and future infrastructure for cost, stability, and security. Help develop project budget and implementation plans based on proposed technical solutions. Alongside the VP for Technology, assist in overseeing and management of project implementations and ensure that they are within budget and schedule.
