Target compensation for this role will be $150-300K (mix of base salary and bonus). Actual offers may be higher or lower than this range and will be determined based on a variety of factors, including (but not limited to) candidates’ qualifications, experience, education, and work location The role Job Summary As an AWS Presales Consultant for Cloud Services, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with our sales team and clients to understand their requirements, scope, and size opportunities effectively. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around providing AWS technical support and translating customer requirements into tailored AWS solutions to meet client needs, finding opportunities for cross-selling and upselling, defining margins in alignment with both sales and delivery teams, drafting statements of work, and curating a repository of solution collaterals. What we need to see from you Required Skills 3-5+ years of AWS technical support experience in a SaaS-based environment Comprehensive understanding of AWS, including services, pricing, networking, security. Proficiency in Terraform and AWS CloudFormation for automating cloud infrastructure. Expertise in AWS cloud networking concepts, hybrid solutions. Familiarity with IAM, encryption, compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA). Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, container networking, security. Knowledge of AWS Lambda preferred. Understanding of cloud storage solutions, database services. Proficient in cloud monitoring tools, setting up alerts. Expertise in designing solutions for fault tolerance, redundancy, disaster recovery. Skills in optimizing cloud infrastructure performance, resource allocation, load balancing, database tuning. Certifications on AWS. Key Sales Competencies & Behaviors of Generating Opportunities, Understanding Client Needs, Developing Relationships, Delivering Value Propositions, Overcoming Objections, Teaching & Advising, Navigating the Deal, Managing Procurement, Negotiating to Close, and Growing the Client through the Company’s Competency Assessment. Success Criteria Margin as sold Service-line growth Win-rate Renewal rate on enterprise/corporate accounts Organizational Alignment The AWS Pre-Sales Consultant reports to the Vice President, Pre-Sales Services. Collaborates closely with Account Managers, Marketing, and Services teams Works closely with Sales Operations, Customer Success Team, and other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution.
