GENERAL PURPOSE: Preflight and prepare electronic files for high resolution output including; assembly, color correcting, retouching and color separation using programs such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. Refine and trap files within ESKO workflow. Create imposition files for output utilizing Preps (and/or) Pandora applications. Output proofs to Epson and Roland InkJet proofing devices along with outputting plates to Kodak Magnus platesetter. Quality inspect all electronic output (proofs (and/or) plates). Maintain equipment used in Prepress Department. Monitor output for linearity and make adjustments as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have high school diploma or G.E.D.Minimum of 5 years of prepress production experience required.Excellent communication skills, including the demonstration of tact, sensitivity, and professionalism.Must have knowledge of printing terminology and practices. Must be able to maintain good attendance.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Must have basic computer skills (email, word processing, etc.).Strong skills in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and PhotoshopMust have knowledge in ESKO workflow or equivalent workflowMust have strong color correcting skillsMust have strong quality inspection skillsMust pass color vision test.Must be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods.Must be reliable and dependable.Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
