Overview

As a Prepress Production Specialist  in our Manufacturing team, you will be responsible for the preparation of mounting and making flexographic plates to meet our production schedule. Your role is crucial in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and precision.

Responsibilities Perform duties using provided flats, job tickets, working papers, daily production schedules, and verbal instructions Prepare print cylinder sleeves by stripping and cleaning sleeves from previous print runs Setup plate exposure equipment and load film flats and underdeveloped printing plates Ensure vacuum frame and glass are free of dust and debris, and expose for the accurate amount of time Perform manual and step and repeat operations as required Check finished plates or proofs for flaws, position, and accurate exposure using standard scales and printers loop Send proofs for customer and production approval as required, make plates from approved proofs or film and send to pressroom Add mounting adhesive tape per print unit chart and work instructions Trim graphic plates to accurate fit on sleeves for mounting Work closely with the production schedule for changes in priority Notify PrePress Team of any potential issues such as sleeve shortages or run-ability concerns Alert PrePress Supervisor to any equipment problems or issues Follow safety rules, maintain a clean work area, and ensure the department is in orderly condition Qualifications

Education Required

High school diploma or equivalent experience

Experience Required

2+ years of commercial printing, flexographic printing, or related experience

Skills Required Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and navigating folders/files on the shared drive Excellent attention to detail for plate setting and alignment Strong dedication to quality Effective time management and organizational skills Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels Reliable punctuality and attendance Ability to work under minimal supervision and tight time constraints Capability to work independently and as a great teammate Preferred Education, Experience, or Skills Associate's Degree or equivalent experience preferred Previous experience in flexographic plating is a plus Keys to Success

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $31,096 - $67,496. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
