The student will work under the supervision of a CaroMont Health employee, licensed/certified in the role in which the student is currently enrolled. The PREP student is assigned to a supervising employee each shift (mentor). The PREP student interns are required to schedule 12 hours of observation time per month. The PREP student works in a PRN position. As appropriate, opportunities will be provided for the PREP student to collaborate with multi-disciplinary team members, as to learn a team approach to patient care. These opportunities will be observational only in nature.
The PREP experience is independent of school requirements and the PREP student is not supervised by school Faculty. The PREP student is restricted from performing any tasks aligned with certification/licensure in their chosen field of study.
Qualifications: Imaging student enrolled in an accredited program and in good standing. Skilled in dealing tactfully with patients, physicians, hospital employees, and the general public.
