What will you do?
Prepares food to specifications before and during unit operationsFollows all production prep sheets assigned for the day.Properly measures portions and prepares all food items. Complies with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies, and proceduresRetrieves from storage areas all items necessary for preparation.Maintains food, utensils and equipment in a clean and orderly mannerAble to read and write in English to properly label, date and wraps food product, adhering to ServSafe proceduresPerforms opening, closing and side work duties as instructed and according to proper guidelinesFollows and upholds all health codes and sanitation regulationsFollows all safety, security and kitchen proceduresCommunicates with chef for any special instructions/trainingPerforms other duties as assigned
More about you
Prior food preparation minimum 1 year, experience in a high-volume environment required.Understanding of basic Food safety standards (Temperature danger zone, Food storage hierarchy, proper hand washing)Ability to read and comprehend prep sheets in English. Ability to use kitchen tools safely (knives and small equipment ware)Ability to follow instructionsNo high school diploma or GED required
Physical requirements
Frequent standing and/or walking for the entire length of the shiftManual dexterity is sufficient to chop, mix, blend, whip, etc. a variety of foods and liquidsAbility to move rapidly and coordinate multiple ordersAbility to lift up to 50 poundsExposed to variable temperaturesMay be required to work in a confined spaceHazards include, but are not limited to cuts from broken glass, metal cans, slipping, and trippingFrequently immerses hands in water
