Come join our Venice Family Clinic as a Prenatal Health Educator and make a positive difference in others’ lives.  In this position, you will work within a multi-disciplinary health care team and report to the Director of Health Education. The Health Educator is responsible for the assessment, planning, coordination and implementation of health education programs that focus on a variety of subjects related to perinatal services, such as prenatal education, physical and emotional chances of pregnancy, reproductive health education, car seat safety, and newborn/infant care education.

Other key responsibilities include:

Case Management – Completing intake assessments, second and third trimester reassessments, and Postpartum assessments for patients. Providing education, appropriate referrals, and ensure linkage.  Health Education Delivery & Development – Deliver maternal and child health information to prenatal and postpartum patients, coordinate and implement health education sessions and other health education presentations, and oversee and manage perinatal health education resources. Community Outreach – Provide information about the Clinic to community members and serve as a liaison between the Clinic and the community. Administration – Monitor and evaluate targeted intervention practices, contract requirements, and submit complete patient encounter forms in a timely fashion. Coordinate and manage health education services tracking and submit monthly reports to the Health Education Services Supervisor. Travel between clinics and community organizations to conduct health education programs, presentation, services, outreach, and other related activities. Participate in meetings and projects, create reports, and perform other duties as assigned by management.


Salary offers are determined based on various factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, and equity. The full salary range for this position is $30.56 – $60.82 hourly. The budgeted salary range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is about $30.56 – $35.00 Hourly.
