THE POSITION Position In-Seat Server Department Premium Clubs Reports To Floor Supervisor, Premium Services Manager, Beverage Manager, Premium Services & Beverage Director Position Summary

The In-Seat Server delivers personalized and professional food and beverage service to premium guests at Rogers Centre, supporting the elevated experience within the Clubs level. Working in coordination with runners and expeditors, the server is responsible for taking orders, making menu recommendations, handling payments, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products — all while adhering to Legends Hospitality’s alcohol and service policies.

Servers are expected to be knowledgeable about current menu items, allergens, and specials, while also maintaining cleanliness and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Take guest orders for food and beverages, confirming accuracy and noting any special requests.

Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in compliance with Smart Serve standards.

Maintain knowledge of current menu offerings and promotions.

Process transactions, handle payments, and close orders accurately.

Provide responsive and attentive guest service from seating to order closure.

Assist with clearing, restocking, and side duties as required.

Uphold cleanliness and presentation standards for all service areas.

Demonstrate knowledge of other Legends service areas to guide guests as needed.

Collaborate closely with runners and other staff to ensure smooth operations.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Valid Smart Serve certification (or must be obtained before first shift).

Minimum 1 year of serving or front-of-house hospitality experience preferred.

Familiarity with food safety and allergen awareness.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to multitask and remain composed in high-pressure environments.

Proficiency in English (verbal and written).

Must be available for at least 80% of events, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to lift 10–30 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Working Conditions

Premium event setting with high guest interaction.

High-volume shifts in fast-paced environments with tight service timelines.

Constant communication with team members across multiple departments.

Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required.

Equipment Used

Tray service equipment (serving trays, drink caddies)

Handheld POS terminals or order chits (if applicable)

Portable payment devices (tap-to-pay or handheld card readers)

Radio communication devices

Cleaning supplies (sanitizing cloths, sprays, gloves)

Physical Demands

Prolonged periods of standing and walking, including navigating ramps, stairs, and elevators.

Frequent bending, reaching, wiping, pushing, pulling, and handling of serving trays or drink carriers.

Must be able to carry multiple plates, beverages, or trays through crowded or confined areas.

Work may involve indoor and outdoor conditions, including variable lighting, crowd noise, and weather.
