THE POSITION Position In-Seat Runner Department Premium Clubs Reports To Floor Supervisor, Premium Services Manager, Beverage Manager, Premium Services & Beverage Director Position Summary

As part of the Clubs service team at Rogers Centre, the In-Seat Runner is responsible for delivering food and beverage orders from the kitchen, bar, or service station to designated guest locations, including premium seating and club-level pickup points. Working closely with expeditors and in-seat servers, the Runner ensures orders are fulfilled quickly, accurately, and professionally — enhancing the guest experience through seamless execution and proactive support.

Runners may also be responsible for stocking and maintaining grab-and-go snack and beverage stations throughout the venue, ensuring they are clean, organized, and appropriately replenished. This role demands exceptional endurance, strong communication, and the ability to think quickly in high-traffic environments.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver prepared food and beverage items from service areas to guests in designated club seating locations.

Ensure orders are complete and correct before delivery.

Maintain a working knowledge of menu items, allergens, and club layouts.

Restock and maintain grab-and-go snack, candy, and beverage stations.

Ensure product displays are clean, organized, and guest-ready at all times.

Provide proactive, engaging service to support the overall guest experience.

Adhere to Legends’ grooming and uniform standards.

Perform opening and closing duties, including side work and inventory.

Navigate ramps, stairs, and elevators quickly and safely throughout the event.

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or managers.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Valid Smart Serve certification required (or ability to obtain prior to first shift).

Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods and lift items up to 30 lbs (occasionally 50 lbs).

Strong multitasking and organizational skills.

Clear verbal communication in English; bilingualism is an asset.

Demonstrated ability to work in high-pressure, team-based environments.

Must be available for at least 80% of scheduled home events, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Familiarity with food safety practices and allergen awareness preferred.

Working Conditions

High-volume sports and entertainment environment.

Extended standing, stair-climbing, and walking throughout events.

Exposure to large crowds, varying weather conditions, and loud noise levels.

Must be comfortable moving through ramps, elevators, and service corridors regularly.

Equipment Used

Hot and cold food carriers

Beverage bins and tray systems

Service elevators and radios

Inventory carts and handheld POS chits (where applicable)

Physical Demands

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (entire shift duration).

Must be able to lift and carry items weighing 10–30 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs.

Frequent bending, reaching, stooping, pushing, and pulling throughout shift.

Must be able to navigate stairs, ramps, and elevators regularly while carrying items.

Exposure to indoor and outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, and inclement weather on event days.

Must maintain stamina and physical endurance in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
