Predictive and Preventive Maintenance (PdM) Technician- Amsterdam, Full-time (Day Shift) - Keep our plant running smoothly!
Do you have a passion for keeping equipment running smoothly and preventing breakdowns before they happen? Are you proactive, curious, and not afraid to get your hands dirty? If so, Bunge has an exciting opportunity for you!
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Predictive Maintenance (PdM) Technician to join our team. In this vital role, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our plant by monitoring equipment health, analyzing trends, and proactively identifying potential issues. You will be using vibration, infrared and ultrasounds technologies to find the root causes of the problems
The Soybean Factory in Amsterdam: What we do (and why it's cool)Our soybean plant in the Amsterdam harbor is a lively hub of activity. We take soybeans shipped all the way from Brazil, South America, Canada, and Ukraine and transform them into soybean oil and soy meal. Think giant ships, siwertells unloading beans, towering silos, a crush site and a refinery —it's a pretty impressive operation! Join us and become part of this global supply chain.
As a PMD Technician at our plant, you will become a valued member of our maintenance team. We are a supportive group who believe in sharing knowledge and celebrating successes together. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our large-scale facility. Your focus will be on minimizing disruptions and downtime, contributing to a culture of reliability and safety.
Your Day-to-DayYou could be starting your day by reviewing equipment health reports, identifying potential trouble spots, and planning the inspection route. Out on the plant floor, you'll use vibration analyzers, infrared cameras, and ultrasound equipment to gather data and assess the condition of critical machinery. Then, back in the office, it's time to dive into the data, analyzing trends and identifying potential failures before they impact production. Collaboration with the maintenance team follows, developing and implementing proactive maintenance strategies that ensure our plant runs smoothly and efficiently.
This role offers a rewarding mix of fieldwork (around 60%) and data-driven decision-making (around 40%), allowing you to see the direct impact of your analysis on the plant's performance.
Contribute to Continuous Improvement: We value your input. Share your insights and expertise to help us improve our maintenance processes and identify potential problems before they occur. Your ideas are essential to enhancing the reliability and efficiency of our plant. Professional development: The world of industrial mechanics is constantly evolving. We will provide opportunities for you to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques, including training on our specialized equipment. What your manager has to say about the role
"This role is perfect for someone who thrives in an industrial environment and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty. You need to be adaptable, ready to remake your plans on the fly. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities for improvement. Our plant may be a bit dated, but that just means there’s a lot of potential for enhancements and the plant is continuously evolving. Creativity and outside-the-box thinking are crucial here. Despite its age, this is the best plant I've ever worked in—very no-nonsense and the kind of place where the industrial environment feels like home. Our team is diverse, with members from all sorts of backgrounds, and everyone pulls together to make things better every single day."
