The Education Training Center at Pitt-Titusville seeks an experienced full-time machinist to instruct and guide our students at the Manufacturing Assistance Center (MAC) at the Titusville campus.
Compensation: $50,000 - $60,000/year

Duties: The instructor will assist with overseeing the program’s courses and machine shop and teach conventional machining, which includes operating mills, lathes, grinders, saws, and hand tools and using inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, optical comparators; and Coordinate Measuring Machines during the basic course. In the CNC course, the instructor must be able to teach G-code machine language, set-up, operation, and tool selection and the care and maintenance of CNC mills and lathes.
Requirements: At least seven years’ experience in manufacturing along with an associate degree or equivalent in Machining Technology or related field; demonstrated competency with teaching; at least four years’ industry experience as a journey-level machinist and five years CNC-related work experience; experience using dimensional metrology inspection tools, ability to interpret blueprints, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing; at least two years’ teaching or supervisory experience; experience and knowledge of Mastercam CAD/CAM, Fusion360, and Solidworks 3D CAD software programs.

This individual will be capable of working in various factory floor environments in close proximity various types of machine tools. Incumbent must be able to deliver course instruction/training in precision machining as required. They must be able to interact in a professional manner with all individuals in performance of duties and responsibilities. Incumbent must possess the required education, certification and training in Machining Technology.
