Position Summary:
As a Pre-Service Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience at Saint Joseph Health System. Working in a collaborative environment, you will support clinical operations by verifying insurance benefits, securing authorizations, and facilitating pre-registration processes—all while delivering exceptional customer service.

What You Will Do:

Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorization requirementsCommunicate with providers, payers, and patients to resolve billing and scheduling issuesPre-register patients and collect financial liabilities including co-pays and deductiblesValidate medical necessity for Medicare and Non-Medicare casesSupport scheduling, documentation correction, and reporting as needed

What You Will Need:

High school diploma required; post-secondary education in business or healthcare preferred3–5 years of experience in healthcare or insurance settingWorking knowledge of third-party payer regulations and medical terminologyCHAA certification preferredStrong interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to travel to patient access sites
