We are seeking an RN, Registered nurse who will work in our Surgery department. As a Pre Admitting Nurse, you will specialize the care of patients undergoing surgical procedures in a surgery department. Their responsibilities will be for intraoperative care of the surgical procedure.

ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
Call surgical patients and go over their health history, surgical history, and medications on the phone and or make an appointment for them to come in person to gather their information.Give every patient their instructions for surgery. Go over information with Anesthesia provider.Communicate with patient and surgeon if patient requires a cardiac or medical clearance. Must be very diligent in notifying physician offices to communicate the needs of obtaining their proper clearance forms and importance of them being returned. Keep an organized communication board of your necessary clearances. Ensure that patients are cleared for surgery. Help with all necessary pre op workups and results are present in patients chart. Effectively communicate any abnormal labs or studies with providers (surgeon & anesthesia). Do post op calls daily. QualificationsBefore we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:
current and valid Texas state RN licenseBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), preferredcurrent BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain currentcurrent ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain currentcurrent PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain currentAdditional Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
