The role youll contribute:
The Practice Manager is responsible for the overall success and day to day operations of their assigned medical practice. This position provides the strategic leadership for a practices growth, direction, administration and coordination of all medical office activities except those directly involving professional medical judgment. The Practice Manager serves as the trainer, effective mentor and educational resource to all team members.

Manages offices in a cost-effective, efficient manner assuring that staff provides high quality care in a courteous and friendly atmosphere.
Oversees the start-up of new physician practices. This includes newly recruited physicians and established community physicians. Assists with credentialing activities.
Will coordinate, monitor and improve the operations of each practice; this includes flow management, documentation, training and staffing and oversight of all provider practice operations.
Coordinates in the hiring process for practices. Completes performance evaluations timely and is involved in employee counseling, coaching and termination per policy. Provides orientation for new employees and ensures compliance with department policy and procedure. Maintains high levels of employee engagement and job performance by providing recognition and opportunities for learning
Maintains current job descriptions and completes performance evaluations for each staff position in assigned practices. Ensures competency of staff.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and one (1) year healthcare experience or AHS Residency program OR
Associate’s degree and two (2) years healthcare experience OR
High School degree and four (4) years healthcare experience
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
Preferred qualifications:
Primary Care Office Experience
Certified by the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE)
Certified Medical Office Manager (CMOM)
Certified Medical Assistant by one of the following:
American Association of Medical Assistants (“AAMA”) for Certified Medical Assistants
American Medical Certification Association (“AMCA”) for Clinical Medical Assistant Certification
American Medical Technologists (“AMT”) for Registered Medical Assistant
National Association for Health Professionals (“NAHP”) for Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant
National Center for Competency Testing (“NCCT”) for National Certified Medical Assistant
National Certification Medical Association (“NCMA”) for Registered Clinical Medical Assistant Specialist
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
