About the Role
As a Practice Group Manager and heading up a practice group for Practical Guidance Australia, you will drive the continuous improvement and commercial success of a suite of Practical Guidance modules. You will help set the content strategy for your portfolio and manage a team of Legal Writers preparing and maintaining practically-focused content as well as work with external specialist authors. You will also provide support to our in-market teams to help build brand awareness and influence market share across clients and stakeholders.
This role would suit someone looking for full-time but might also suit someone interested in 4.5 days per week. Regular in-office time is preferable, either Sydney or Melbourne-based, but there is also opportunity to work flexibly and from home. With strong experience as a practising lawyer and leading teams, you will have a solid understanding of the practical processes relevant to legal teams and corporate professionals.
Responsibilities
Developing practice group content roadmap driven by commercial strategy and market need
Supporting financial success through new content development and budget management
Leading and developing a team of engaged and innovative legal writers
Managing internal and external stakeholders, staying close to customer needs, and addressing legal trends
Requirements
3+ years PQE
Experience in an Australian legal practice role
Experience in team leadership and people management
Excellent communication and plain-English writing skills
Aptitude for building and fostering relationships with a range of diverse clients and local and international stakeholders
Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills
Experience in Corporate, Banking & Financial Services, M&A or Insolvency & Restructuring areas of law is desirable
