Summary
Under the direction of the PPG Practice Manager, is responsible for daily scheduling of 35 plus anesthesiologists at PRMC, Premier, PV Randallia, Inverness, Endoscopy, MRI, CT, Interventional Radiology and Cath Lab. Responsible for communicating with physicians throughout the day with any changes, traumas, or add-ons. Maximizes the OR schedule in order to get as much utilization from each operating room. This position is estimated to be 90% physician scheduling and 10% surgery scheduling.
Education
Minimum of high school diploma, with some college preferred. Medical Terminology course strongly preferred.

Experience
Minimum 5 years of scheduling experience, preferably for a physician group of 20+ and with surgeries.
Other Qualifications
Basic knowledge of medical terminology required. Advanced knowledge in surgical equipment and medical terminology, anatomy and physiology preferred. Basic knowledge of appropriate internet use. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must demonstrate professional telephone etiquette. Ability to work independently using critical thinking skills to resolve issues throughout the day.
