Job Summary
Responsible for the creation and publication of technical illustrations (artwork) used in the Electronic Parts Catalog. This includes downloading shape (CAD) data, structuring and formatting illustrations, ensuring quality, consistency, and accuracy of illustrations. Ensures illustrations meet all Nissan global standards. for content and isometric layout. Illustrations include some 2D layouts and some 3D layouts, as required. Utilizes AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, and other software to create and maintain illustrations. This employee would also be responsible for other various duties related to creating reports, updating PMF, updating MPS. records, and acting as point contact with NMEX and NML for Dealer inquiries.
Job Functions
Extracts shape (CAD) data from engineering data warehouse and formats data in accordance with Nissan global standards and based on understanding of industry requirements to create and maintain catalog illustrations. Regularly coordinates with all PPE analysts (phone, email, Zoom, etc.) to ensure. illustrations meet expectations. Modifies as requested.Develops catalog illustrations with the highest degree of accuracy, consistency and adherence to global standards and local requirements. Can self-manage quality and accuracy of work with minimal oversight.Ensures illustrations are converted to required SVG format using Adobe Illustrator or other software.Develops illustration standards for local requirements based on global standards and understanding of industry and user requirements.Prepares and maintains catalog introductions and indexes that support users. Ensures introductions and indexes are properly translated to required languages by placing orders to third party vendor for translation services.Prepares daily or weekly department status reports by downloading and analyzing data and compiling report for department distribution.Updating PMF, MPS and other related systems in an effort to support our PPE Analysts.Working as the window with NMEX and NML to coordinate DPIC inquiries that are created to support US dealers.As necessary, perform other related duties and transactional activities of which the above are representative.Minimum Job Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, Design or related field.Advanced English Level.Must have excellent AutoCAD and Adobe Illustrator software skills and be proficient at conceptualizing and executing parts catalog illustration layouts and formats.Good understanding of US market for automotive service parts and can format catalog illustrations in accordance with industry and US market norms to satisfy customer needs/wants and facilitate quick and accurate interpretation of parts catalog data.Advanced knowledge of word processor, spreadsheet, other PC and mainframe applications utilized in the manufacturing and distribution of highly complex and technical products. Knowledge of NNA proprietary supply and distribution systems, and database applications is preferred. Ability to understand and maintain the accuracy of a database.Ability to reconcile data reports and other information using Microsoft Excel. Must be proficient In Excel and able to create and maintain reports in various formats.Ability to communicate effectively with other technical experts regarding the serviceability of automotive parts and systems, ability to understand major systems and components of automobiles.Multi-tasking and prioritization skills with minimal oversight is imperative to success in this role.
