Job Summary: The Vehicle Propulsion Systems Engineering Calibration team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Powertrain Calibration Engineer to support the development and validation of drivability, emissions, and OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) calibrations for internal combustion and hybrid electric powertrains. This role requires a results-driven individual capable of working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment to deliver production-ready calibrations that meet stringent performance, emissions, and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: + Develop and optimize powertrain calibrations to meet vehicle program targets for drivability, emissions, fuel economy, performance, and diagnostics. + Conduct in-vehicle, laboratory, and simulation-based testing to validate calibration strategies and system performance. + Collect, analyze, and interpret powertrain data to ensure calibration robustness and regulatory compliance. + Design and execute structured test plans to validate functional safety and calibration integrity. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, controls, and diagnostic engineers to ensure seamless system integration. + Support development and testing activities at various proving grounds, including locations in Arizona, Colorado, and Northern Michigan. Required Skills & Experience: + Minimum of 2 years of experience in engine or hybrid powertrain calibration, with a focus on drivability, tailpipe emissions, or OBD systems. + Proficient in powertrain data acquisition, calibration tools, and data analysis techniques. + Strong foundation in mechanical or electrical engineering principles related to internal combustion and hybrid propulsion systems. Preferred Qualifications: + 5+ years of hands-on experience in powertrain calibration across multiple attribute areas. + Familiarity with advanced calibration tools and methodologies.
