Afra Innovation and Technology Co., in collaboration with the Iranian Research Organization for Science and Technology (IROST), is seeking to recruit a Power Plant Thermal and Fluid Mechanics Engineer with expertise in thermal analysis to support the development of its new renewable energy project. The primary focus of this position is the preliminary design, thermal modeling, and performance optimization of the solar power plant using specialized software tools and dynamic operational data.

Note: This position and its associated responsibilities will be carried out in the form of a full-time collaboration. As the project design process moves into its operational phase, continued cooperation may be pursued based on mutual satisfaction and prevailing conditions.

Responsibilities:

Collect technical documentation, conduct engineering analysis, and prepare comprehensive reports.Analyze the performance of the Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) plant under various environmental and operational conditions.Perform sensitivity analyses and recommend design optimization strategies for the CSP plant.Develop initial cost estimates and bill of quantities based on preliminary designs.Conduct thermodynamic modeling of CSP solar thermal power plants using programming languages and commercial software such as Thermoflow and Thermoflex.Carry out sensitivity and uncertainty studies using MATLAB and ANSYS Fluent.Analyze statistical data using MiniTab.Prepare analysis and design guidelines utilizing specialized CSP plant modeling software.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or related fields.Full proficiency in relevant software tools (as mentioned in the responsibilities section).Strong programming skills, preferably in Python.Ability to rapidly learn specialized CSP power plant software, particularly SAM (System Advisor Model), SolTrace, and SolarPILOT.Deep understanding of thermodynamics, thermal power plants, and renewable energy systems.Familiarity with steam turbines, heat exchangers, and power plant generatorsIntermediate to advanced English language skills (knowledge of Chinese is considered a plus).
