Power Plant Engineer
Job Title: Power Plant EngineerJob Description As a Power Plant Engineer, you will conduct design and analysis of aircraft powerplants, including engines. You will perform engineering calculations, simulations, and modeling to optimize powerplant performance, efficiency, and reliability. Your role will involve conducting feasibility studies and risk assessments for proposed powerplant modifications or upgrades. You will evaluate and interpret test data to ensure compliance with specifications and performance requirements. Additionally, you will develop and maintain technical documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, procedures, and reports. You will conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot powerplant-related issues to identify and implement effective solutions. Providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians will be an essential part of your role. Responsibilities + Conduct design and analysis of aircraft powerplants, including engines. + Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and modeling to optimize powerplant performance, efficiency, and reliability. + Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for proposed powerplant modifications or upgrades. + Evaluate and interpret test data to ensure compliance with specifications and performance requirements. + Develop and maintain technical documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, procedures, and reports. + Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot powerplant-related issues to identify and implement effective solutions. + Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians. Essential Skills + Experience in aero-engine repair and troubleshooting, specifically with CFM or CF6 engines. + Strong familiarity with aerospace/defense industry customers, processes, and requirements (FAA, NADCAP). + Advanced mechanical skills. + Proven track record of driving continuous quality improvement in a manufacturing environment. + Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field. + Airframe & Powerplant mechanic certification or license. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification. + 10+ years of experience in aero-engine repair and troubleshooting. Work Environment The role is based in a manufacturing and aero-engine repair facility where testing of power plants is conducted. The work environment involves exposure to advanced mechanical systems and technologies used in the aerospace industry. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Wilmington, Ohio. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $130000.00/yr. *more details to come* - Medical, Dental, 401K and bonus structure (TBD) Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Wilmington,OH.
