Overview ***This position is physically located in the Philippines in support of LOGCAP*** Under supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the Power Generation Supervisor is responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of a power generation which includes not only the generators but also other critical systems such as Spot and Emergency Power Systems, central power and medium voltage distribution systems for U.S. Government operations and facilities. Ensure safe, efficient, and reliable power generation, implement safety protocols, monitor equipment performance, and coordinate repairs. Ensure work is complete and conform to standards and requirements IAW Technical Manuals, Army Regulations, established processes, and local SOPs. Perform maintenance inspections, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair generator issues, and overhauls of generator sets, power units, power plants, load switchboards, load distribution terminal boards, decontamination equipment, steam cleaners, small engine driven equipment, and other special purpose equipment. Optimize efficiency, minimizing downtime, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Provide direction and supervision to subordinates; ensure productivity, adherence to policies, effective performance evaluations, and individual skill development; practice and enforce safety rules and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment. Responsibilities This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. Member of a team to accomplish provided tasks to standard. Train and supervise power generation personnel. Possesses considerable autonomy in completing projects for department leadership. Ensures that quality standards are applied to all levels of the work and measured for effectiveness. Responsible for performing routine maintenance checks, Diagnose and troubleshoot generator issues, repairing malfunctions, and ensuring that the generators are running efficiently. Ensure continuous monitoring of the performance of power generation equipment and systems. Schedule and oversee routine maintenance, repairs, and emergency maintenance activities. Provide oversight and recommendations on power generation related projects to ensure accuracy and efficiency of desired outcome. Address and resolve operational issues, equipment malfunctions, and other challenges that may arise. Provide information needed through various means to complete daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual CDRLs and reports. Assists with the completion and review of CDRLs and reports. Ensure compliance of Corporate, company, PWS and other government policies, procedures and standards and reports to the Logistics Leadership. Provide administrative support to the Logistics Leadership, requiring considerable judgment and discretion, to include handling of information of a highly important and confidential nature along with excellent skills in creating spreadsheets, databases, word processing and power point presentations. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Must provide a copy of the diploma. Required TESDA Certificate in Electrical installation and Maintenance NC lll or Diesel Power Plant operation and Maintenance NC ll/lll. Must have Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Energy Conservation Officer (CECO) or certification for energy management, engineering expertise, and specific power generation technologies. Must be a Filipino Citizen Must have a Host Nation Driver’s License Experience: Minimum of eight (8) years of experience working in power generation works Knowledgeable with electrical codes and regulations Strong electrical and mechanical skills with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. Knowledgeable with safety standards and procedures. Knowledge in Maximo is an advantage. Skills: Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Able and willing to perform other duties as needed, as skills and program allow. Strong knowledge of power generation systems, equipment, and processes. Mid-level electrical knowledge of installation, maintenance, and repair of generators ranging from 120-500kW Able to address power generation issues for the commercial and military fleet. Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve operational and technical issues. Experience in maintaining 120–500kW generators Experience in employee training, development, and performance management. Possess exceptional time management skills. Requires intermediate to advanced knowledge and fluency of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel). Must be able to multi-task proficiently while meeting short suspense for both scheduled CDRL and unscheduled reports/tasks. Must have a strong electrical & Mechanical knowledge background. Prior LOGCAP operations experience is preferred. Strong analytical skills. Supervisory Responsibilities: Five (5) years of Supervisory/Lead experience. Working Conditions: The worker is subject to routine environmental conditions such as in typical office or administrative work. The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals. The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level. The worker is subject to extreme rainwater and heat. Temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions, such as wind and humidity. Physical Requirements: Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
