Power BI Engineer (Remote)
**Overview** GovCIO is currently looking for a detail-oriented and innovativePower BIEngineer (Remote)to design, develop, andmaintaindata-driven dashboards and reports thatprovideactionable insights across the organization. The ideal candidate has strong experience in data visualization, modeling, and report optimization using Microsoft Power BI tools.This position is fully remote,locatedin the United States. **Responsibilities** + Design and buildPower BI dashboards, reports, and visualizationstailored to business requirements. + Generates Ad-Hoc PBI Reports. + Develop andoptimizedata models,DAX calculations, and Power Query transformations. + Connect to various data sources (SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, Azure, etc.) and ensuredatarefreshesare configured and reliable. + Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs, define KPIs, and ensure clarity and usability of dashboards. + Ensure consistency, accuracy, and performance of datasets throughdata validation, optimization, and security controls(e.g., Row-Level Security). + Work with the data engineering team toidentifyand troubleshootdata quality, performance, and integration issues. + Maintain and documentPower BI assets, including data models, queries, and version history. + Stay current with Power BI updates, features, and best practices to continuously improve report performance and user experience. + Continuously tunes environment tooptimizeperformance + Supports user administration for role-based securityin accordance withenterprise user security guidelines. + Performs upgrades as needed to incorporate new features and assurehigh levelsof security and support. **Qualifications** **Required Skills and Experience** + Bachelor'swith 12+ years (orcommensurateexperience). + Proficient inPower BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, and Power Query (M). + Strong SQL skills and understanding ofrelational and dimensional data models. + Experience working withenterprise data sourcesand integrating data from multiple platforms. + Familiarity withPower BI Gateway, workspace roles, and deployment best practices. + Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for clean, user-friendly design. + Effective communication and documentation skills to support cross-functional collaboration. **Clearance** **required** +  Ability to obtain andmaintaina suitability/Public Trust  \#TAPS **Company Overview** GovCIO is a team of transformers--people who are passionate about transforming government IT.
