Shape the Future of Quality in Manufacturing

We’re looking for a Quality Supervisor to lead our Quality Control laboratory at our Sunshine Powder Coatings site. This is a critical leadership role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, reporting directly to the Site Quality Manager.

 

You’ll be responsible for overseeing daily lab operations, ensuring product quality meets customer expectations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You’ll also lead a team of QC Chemists and Technicians, supporting their development and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

What You’ll Be Doing: Manage daily activities of the QC laboratory, ensuring timely and accurate testing of production batches. Supervise lab personnel to maintain compliance with HSE, SOPs, and quality standards. Ensure batch card release control and manage QC equipment maintenance and calibration. Investigate abnormalities, customer complaints, and rejected batches to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. Analyse quality data and audit results to develop and execute improvement plans aligned with annual KPIs. Maintain and enhance the laboratory quality control system to ensure compliance with certifications (e.g., ISO, APAS). Liaise with operations, technical, and sales teams to ensure product quality meets customer expectations. Manage product introductions and ensure appropriate parameters are established for new batches. Handle customer communications regarding batch status and manage quality-related requests (e.g., shelf-life extensions, certificates of analysis). Does This Sound Like You? Degree in Chemistry or related field (or equivalent industry experience). Experience in a QC/QA role within a manufacturing environment. Proven leadership in a lab or production setting. Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills. Familiarity with quality systems, audits, and certifications. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
