SUMMARY:
This Poultry Accounting Intern role is designed to provide a foundational experience in operations finance and accounting, this internship offers a unique opportunity to explore the inner workings of a a complex, data-driven manufacturing environment. As a Finance & Accounting Intern, you’ll gain exposure to real-world financial processes, collaborate with experienced professionals, and contribute to meaningful projects that support plant operations and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Production Reporting – Monitor and report daily production metrics to support operational efficiency.
Disassembly Yield Reporting – Analyze yield data to support process improvements and cost savings.
Overtime Reporting – Compile labor data and report on overtime trends to assist in labor cost management.
Weekly Plant Variance Reporting – Prepare variance reports comparing actuals to budget/forecast and provide insights on key drivers.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Finance or Accounting major is required with at least a year of school remaining.
Computer Skills: Strong computer skills and the ability to multi-task; working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, Access and PowerPoint.
Communication Skills: Good written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
Special Skills: Must have the desire to learn and be a self-starter with the ability to work independently or in teams.

This role also requires the selected candidate to work in office at Tyson Foods’ Springdale, AR World Headquarters.
