McCain Foods (Canada) – Florenceville French Potato facility, is currently looking for a Potato Receiving Operator to complete our team.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Grade 12 or GED would be considered an assetMust be able to work shifts on a rotating basisKnowledge of computer operations an assetAbility to work with minimal supervisionMust be willing to learn to operate the S.S. Loader and Lift truck.Ability to lift approximately 25-30 lbs.Ability to respond to unexpected circumstances calmly and responsiblyAbility to accept and embrace change in the day-to-day operationsSuccessful completion of 90-day training period

 

DUTIES:

25 lb. Sampling taken on request and tuber counts determine.Clean and monitor equipment in rock removal/ peel waste room, report any problems to your shift Coach.Some lift truck and SS loader operating will be necessary.Will be required to operate the Spudnik unloaderOperations of storage bin and report any problems or damage to Shift Coach.Ensure SQCDPE targets are met by understanding and goal setting of KPI’s Filling out SPC computer work accuratelyWeekend / daily sanitation of equipment from the potato bins though to the small binDealing with the day-to-day issues of operating in a fast-paced environment.Attend Team meetings and involvement as required.Assist Graders as needed.Other duties as assigned.

 

 

Applicants must possess a good safety record and continually demonstrate “safety first” on a continual basis.  Selection of employees for promotion is based upon such factors as ability, special training, experience, job performance record, attendance, physical fitness, education, length of service, and involvement in plant leadership programs.  Length of service will be the determining factor when all other factors are relatively equal.  An evaluation period will be used to determine the candidate’s suitability to the position.

Compensation Package:  -  Starting at22.24 CAD hourly + Bonus eligibility + Hourly Pay Differential for applicable shifts 

 

The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education and training, and other organizational needs.
