A position is available immediately in the area of cancer biology and translational research. The Postdoctoral Fellow is to assist the Principal Investigator and other Faculty members with scientific research projects. The primary activity of this position is academic research. Projects will focus on epithelial plasticity (EP) programs such as the epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and the role of EP in tumorigenesis, metastasis and treatment resistance. We study these areas primarily by using a novel suite of genetically engineered mouse models (GEMMs) and non-invasive rodent imaging as well as other more traditional biochemical, genetic, molecular and cell biological approaches. *LEARNING OBJECTIVES* 1.) Perform technical laboratory duties, techniques, in vivo and in vitro experiments studying cancer biology in the context of cancer therapies and response to treatments including radiotherapy. 2.) Projects will include using mouse tumor models to assess effects of cancer therapy; small animal image-guided radiotherapy; tissue harvesting and microscopy; in vivo and ex vivo biological assays; implementation/development of novel protocols and procedures; execution of experiments; analysis of results. 3.) Familiarity with histology, animal husbandry, in vivo surgical techniques, flow cytometry, immune and proteomic or transcriptomic assays is preferred.
