Postdoctoral Fellow - GI Medical Oncology
The Postdoctoral Fellow will work under the guidance of a principal investigator to support a range of clinical, translational, and basic scientific research projects. The fellow is expected to independently carry out the research plan developed with the faculty sponsor, maintain regular communication regarding progress, and promptly report any changes to the research direction. Key Responsibilities: -Conduct and analyze experiments; contribute to ongoing research projects and assist in the development of research documentation. -Operate independently in the collection and analysis of clinical research data. -Collaborate with other researchers and interdisciplinary research teams, including both experimental and computational scientists within an interdisciplinary environment. -Interface with electronic medical records and databases containing tissue samples and tumor molecular data. -Compile, write, and submit research findings for publication in peer-reviewed journals. -Write and submit grant applications independently and assist the principal investigator with additional funding proposals. Additional Responsibilities: -Propose innovative, computational solutions to research challenges and adapt existing bioinformatics tools to support project goals. -Interpret, present, and report research findings at internal meetings and, when appropriate, at external scientific conferences.
