A postdoctoral fellow position is available in the Laboratory of Dr. Yiwen Chen in the Department of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology. By utilizing integrative computational and multi-omic (genomic, epigenomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic) approaches, the long-term goal of Chen lab is to decipher the cell signaling, stress responses, epigenetic and epitranscriptomic and RNA-based regulation mechanism underlying pathogenesis in cancer. The Postdoctoral Fellow will be co-mentored by Dr. Yiwen Chen and Dr. Xi Chen at MD Anderson Cancer Center working on stress responses in tumor microenvironment. *LEARNING OBJECTIVES* The Postdoctoral Fellow will conduct bioinformatics analysis, perform data analysis and prepare manuscripts in addition to attending lab meetings, journal clubs, and research seminars. The Postdoctoral Fellow's primary research focus is to use bioinformatics approaches to merge mechanistic insights with the translational objectives of experimental therapeutics and the accompanying stratifications of genetic biomarkers to address unmet clinical needs in cancer therapy. The Postdoctoral Fellow will train, learn and study design, data analysis and manuscript writing. All duties and responsibilities are carried out in compliance with institutional policies, ethical research standards, and applicable federal and state regulations. *ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS* • Background and working knowledge in genomics data analysis, immunology, and cancer biology. • A strong sense of curiosity and passion for science.
