Postdoctoral Fellow, Cardiovascular Medicine **Galveston, Texas, United States** Research Academic & Clinical UTMB Health Requisition # 2502858 **JOB DESCRIPTION:** The postdoctoral fellow will conduct, report and present research in his/her field of study under the supervision of a faculty mentor. This is a training position, and is not expected to be a permanent position. **ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:** + Identifies and recruits clinical research subjects for participation of studies, collects data, and monitors enrollment goals. + Under the direction of the PI, assists with the creation of research presentations and manuscripts. + Assists with grant/protocol preparation and submissions to IRB, OCR or OSP under the direction of the PI. Documents and maintains IRB approval. + Assists with creation and maintenance of clinical and research databases in conjunction with the database manager. + Assists with collection, documentation, and storage of clinical and research data. + Assists with administrative tasks around research protocols including sample collection and shipment. **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:** Ph.D., M.D. or Doctoral equivalent in any field.
