The role youll contribute:
The Post-Exposure Registered Nurse is responsible for supporting the exposure needs of all clients in ways that will be customer driven and cost effective. This position requires the consistent demonstration of excellence in customer service, while adhering to policies and procedures, and to all rules and regulations applicable to local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Rapid HIV testing proficiency- Upon Hire Required Urine Drug Screen (UDS/FFD) Certification- within 30 Days of hire Required Notary Certification- within 90 days of hire Required
The value youll bring to the team:
Travels to various client locations, across seven-county area, to provide treatment for high-risk communicable disease exposures, to include: patient counseling, blood draws, and medication administration when indicated.
Perform additional client services to include Reasonable suspicion screening and post-accident screening to obtain blood/alcohol specimens as well as urine drug screen specimens based on individual client protocols.
Maintains professionalism while working in a High-Risk environment, as with First Responders, that includes obtaining patient blood samples in emergency situations, incarcerated facilities, and various non-clinical environments where immediate intervention is critical to obtain samples within CDC guidelines.
Functions 100% independently within a complex work environment including internal department, external departments, corporate clients, vendors, labs, and medical directors while remaining professional, calm and confident utilizing regulatory and over 60 client-specific protocols to manage each unique situation.
Functions as a Per Diem employee in an on-call-schedule arrangement to include day, evening, over-night and weekend shifts of 8, 12 or 24 hours.
The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed :
Minimum qualifications:
Associate's of Nursing
1 year Nursing experience
Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure
Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS)
Driver License, Valid and in State
Breath Alcohol Tech
Rapid HIV testing proficiency Upon Hire
Urine Drug Screen (UDS/FFD) Certification within 30 Days
Notary Certification within 90 Days
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor's of Nursing
Occupational and/or employee health experience
