Sanofi's global Immunoscience Frontiers Research team is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our innovative research program focused on the intersection of obesity and inflammatory skin diseases. This position is based in Frankfurt, Germany, but is an integral part of our global research network. It offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research that could redefine our understanding of autoimmune and inflammatory processes in the context of obesity.

Main responsibilities:

Coordinate with hospital partners for the collection of blood samples and tissue biopsies from lean and obese patientsWork with research platforms to execute comprehensive molecular analyses including RNA-seq, flow cytometry, proteomics, and metabolomicsConduct functional studies using immune cell assays and co-culturesSupport the integration of multi-omics data using advanced bioinformatics and machine learning approachesValidate key findings and establish an internal databank of identified therapeutic targets and patient stratification markersPrepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journalsCollaborate with global team members across Sanofi's research network

About you

Experience:

Strong background in immunologyExperience in either inflammatory disease research OR multi-omics approaches is desirableExpertise in the analysis of biopsies from skin or adipose tissue would be an advantageProficiency in cellular and molecular biology techniques

Soft and technical skills:

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong communication and collaboration abilities

Education:

Ph.D. in Immunology, Cell Biology, or a related field

Languages:

Fluency in English; German language skills are a plus
