Post and Print Services Specialist I

Assists with various Post & Print Services operational duties which include supporting the functions of a full-service shipping, receiving, and print shop operations. Supports office campus mail and package delivery, bulk mailing, student mailboxes, and shipping vendors. Provides reporting to leadership related to needs and issues. Provides guidance and recommendations related to process development and proficiencies. Is proficient with all Post equipment and services.
Essential Responsibilities:
• As the Post and Print Services Specialist I, you will provide support for operations of the Post Office and as needed, Print Services.
• Support the coordination and receiving of the daily incoming/outgoing shipments from USPS, UPS, Fed Ex, DHL and all other carriers including training and support of student staff helping with this service.
• Process outgoing mail and packages received from campus offices.
• Help manage the Post Office and Print Services’ email.
• Support the service of student mailboxes including student status updates and mailbox assignment.
• Manage the campus mail and employee print delivery service to all offices, including student training and management and customer issues.
• Monitor and maintain department van and delivery cart.
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot Post Office mailing equipment and software.
• Help support campus community outreach programs for Post Office and Print Services.
• Help support the service of large mailings which includes the preparation and usage of the large mailing system and preparing postage statement forms to be sent with mailings.
• Help prepare monthly postage statement billing for standard class and first-class bulk mailings.
• Provide additional support with procurement, receiving, invoicing as well as maintaining vendor relationships, contracts, service providers, supply orders, and invoices
• Support needs as required in Print Services.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein, and as assigned by the Post Office Manager.
• Must complete all required federal, state, institutional, and department training.
• Engages in a planned program of professional development. Continually maintains skills and knowledge relative to the position and technology industry, including best practices, evolving operational requirements, and industry trends.
• Demonstrate an awareness of and sensitivity to unique social, cultural, and economic circumstances.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the Colleges’ educational philosophy and mission.
Other Information:
This is a full-time (37.5 hour/week) position. Occasional weekend and evening hours may be necessary. This position description is not all-inclusive as other tasks or responsibilities may be assigned. Pay range is $17.95 - $23.08 per hour.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mailroom or Postal experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills required. .
• This position requires regular lifting bags or mail or boxes of paper up to 50 lbs. and includes continual bending and stretching.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Notary Public preferred but will support licensing after hire.
• Possess strong communication skills and be willing to take initiative.
• Strong customer service orientation; positive, helpful, resourceful.
• Highly reliable, flexible, and adaptable.
• The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds is required.
