Portfolio Program Manager (Remote) Job ID 224667 Posted 16-Jun-2025 Service line GWS Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Project Management Location(s) Birmingham - Alabama - United States of America, Chicago - Illinois - United States of America, Dallas - Texas - United States of America, Memphis - Tennessee - United States of America **About the role:** We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Portfolio Program Manager to support the Global Portfolio Management Office (PMO) in delivering end-to-end governance, analytics, and process optimization for a rapidly growing hyperscale data center retrofit construction portfolio. This role will play a key part in executing retrofit construction program objectives, including portfolio-wide risk register/analysis development, business process automation, and supporting data integrity across complex tools and platforms. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, performer with 5–10 years of experience supporting large capital portfolios, especially within asset-intensive environments. This individual must demonstrate an ability to independently execute cross-functional work streams while navigating a highly matrixed organization. **What you’ll do:** **Risk Management & Analytics** + Support implementation of a Portfolio Construction Risk Register using industry best practices. + Develop and maintain interactive dashboards (PLX/Looker studio) to visualize portfolio risks and issues. + Perform data analysis to ensure portfolio risks are accurately captured and mitigated. + Support continuous improvement & optimization of the risk register. **Process Governance & Optimization** + Support ongoing initiatives to reduce cycle time of business processes + Draft and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), swimlane diagrams (Lucid-chart), and definitions & guidelines for governance processes. + Collaborate with stakeholders across Construction, Cost Controls, Procurement, Engineering, and Finance to improve governance and optimize existing governance around established processes. + Draft portfolio level guidelines, presentations and training materials to ensure process improvements and initiatives are successfully implemented across a global portfolio with multiple stakeholders. **Digital Tools & Business Automation** + Support requirements gathering, business requirements documentation (BRD), functional design documentation (FDD) and SME testing of digital applications aligned with retrofit portfolio initiatives (e.g., Maximo, QuickBase, eBuilder, SAP etc). + Draft and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts, and ensure business rule consistency during app configuration or migration. + Partner with developers to drive low-code/no-code process automation pilots for intake, approval, and reporting processes. + Support organizational change management by providing documentation and training to multiple stakeholders **Data Migration & Integrity** + Perform large database data analytics using complex formulas, pivot tables, basic scripting to identify data integrity issues. + Coordinate with SMEs to collate and cleanse data for migration between legacy systems and new governance platforms. + Identify and resolve gaps in operational metadata to ensure data integrity. **What you’ll need:** **Required Skills** + 5–10 years’ experience in portfolio management roles or PMO functions for large-scale infrastructure companies or ideally supporting programmatic construction work at data centers. + Understanding of construction workflows, contracts and delivery mechanisms. + Expertise in data analysis, KPI dashboards, business process mapping, program governance, and portfolio reporting. + Proven ability to work autonomously, influence without authority, and manage matrixed stakeholders. + Ability to create client facing effective and articulated presentations on processes and governance impacting multiple stakeholders. **Technical Proficiency** + Proficient in Looker Studio, Smartsheet, Lucid-chart or other visual workflow diagramming tool, and Google Workspace. + Experience working tools like Maximo, SAP, QuickBase, eBuilder, SAP or ERP systems. + Familiarity with project or construction risk registry or risk assessments, process governance, process automation, and large set data analytics. **Education & Certifications** + Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management (Construction or Business or Data Analytics) + PMP or PgMP (PMI) - (Preferred) + Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or above - (Preferred) **Soft Skills** + Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in drafting business cases and leading cross-functional meetings. + Analytical mindset with a pragmatic focus on business outcomes. + Comfortable with ambiguity and capable of proactively managing shifting priorities. **Why CBRE?** At CBRE, we admire creativity, innovation, and partnership, and we offer endless opportunities for growth. The minimum salary for the Portfolio Program Manager position is $140,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Portfolio Program Manager position is $160,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
