Job Description

Region: Andean Region (Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela)

Reports to: ITD Business Segment Manager

Function: Sales Enablement / Product Management / Technical Consulting

Purpose of the Role

The Portfolio Expert – Power plays a critical role in supporting the sales organization by providing deep technical expertise and strategic guidance on Rockwell Automation’s Power portfolio. This individual serves as a bridge between Product Management, Sales, and Technical teams, ensuring the successful amplification of the product offering in the Andean region. The role contributes to securing business opportunities by influencing specifications, enabling the distributor channel, and supporting key accounts with technical differentiation.

Key Responsibilities

Amplification & Sales Support

Serve as a trusted technical consultant to the sales force, advising on competitive mitigation strategies and the optimal use of Rockwell’s Power portfolio.

Provide in-depth training, coaching, and continuous engagement to Distributor Specialists and Account Managers on portfolio offerings, sizing, and selection tools.

Support Solution Architects with advanced technical input when developing customer solutions.

Participate in and support regional customer events and technical seminars, showcasing Rockwell Automation's capabilities.

Product Management

Act as the primary advocate of Rockwell Automation's Power technology within the region.

Work closely with key accounts to influence and win specifications based on RA’s technology advantages.

Coordinate New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and drive the development of Proof of Concepts for strategic opportunities.

Maintain direct interaction with Global Product Managers and Global Portfolio Engineers (GPEs) to align regional needs with global strategies.

Capture and communicate market insights and customer feedback to influence product roadmap and development.

Collaborate with Marketing and Business Management in the design and implementation of commercial programs.

Actively support regional marketing initiatives and in-region events to elevate brand awareness and product adoption.

QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering or related field.At least 5 years general experience in industrial power systems, motor control technologies, and energy management.Relevant experience in sales environment.

Required Competencies

Experience using and training others in sizing and selection tools.

Excellent communication and presentation skills for both technical and commercial audiences.

Ability to work cross-functionally across sales, marketing, and global product teams.

Strategic thinking with a strong focus on customer success and competitive differentiation.

Fluent in English and Spanish (Portuguese is a plus).
