We are now hiring a Portfolio Category Manager – Professional Services & Contingent Labour, a pivotal role in shaping our global procurement strategy across high-value indirect categories including Professional Services and Contingent Labour. This Sydney-based role offers a unique opportunity to lead a greenfield area with an annual spend of approximately $150 million. You’ll work across functions and geographies, helping to define ResMed’s supplier relationships and sourcing strategies at a global scale.
Let’s Talk About the Role:
Lead the category strategy development and execution for Professional Services, HR, Travel, and Contingent Labour, aligned with business priorities.
Take ownership of the Contingent Labour Program, including sourcing, commercial negotiations, and programme optimisation.
Act as a strategic partner to senior business leaders, identifying emerging business needs and shaping sourcing plans accordingly.
Manage and build strategic supplier relationships and ensure strong source-to-contract governance.
Deliver cost optimisation, productivity, and value creation outcomes across the EBS portfolio.
Provide leadership and mentoring to a high-performing team, championing a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Support planning, sourcing, budgeting, and performance tracking initiatives in collaboration with GSA leadership.
Travel internationally as needed to engage with stakeholders and suppliers across the US, Europe, Singapore, and Malaysia.
Let’s Talk About You:
5–10 years of procurement leadership experience with deep expertise in Professional Services, HR, Travel, and particularly Contingent Labour.
Demonstrated track record in delivering cost savings, driving supplier performance, and optimising sourcing strategies.
Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, category management, and procurement best practices with global exposure.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills across diverse functions and geographies.
Proven experience in managing complex contracts, supplier negotiations, and cross-functional initiatives.
Strong commercial acumen, governance awareness, and change management experience.
Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or Accounting (or equivalent). MCIPS, ISM preferred.
Familiarity with contingent workforce technologies and solutions is highly desirable.
