Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a remote Portfolio Analyst for one of our top financial clients in the Des Moines area. This person will create, guide and assist in the intake process for major data related initiatives in the organization. They will help to funnel the projects and work coming into the data teams. Someone in this role will need to be able to utilize Power BI for reporting and building business plans. They will also be working with Azure DevOps to create projects and built feature stories. This person will be working closely along side business stakeholders and Agile teams across the data organization. Communication and the ability to lead direction is needed for this role. Someone who has project management experience will excel in this role. Additional responsibilities include:
Portfolio & Operations Management
Track, monitor, and report on portfolio health, risk, capacity, and project milestones.
Create, consolidate, and communicate team accomplishments, KPIs, and OKRs across architecture, data, and AI.
Maintain visibility into headcount, open roles, and organizational structure changes.
Administer work requests, dependency tracking, and roadmap alignment.
Assist with Creating and Supporting a new intake process, governance reviews, and business case development.
Creating and documenting new processes needed to support portfolio maturity.
Tooling, Data & Reporting
Build and maintain reporting dashboards using Power BI and Excel to track budgets, forecasts, and delivery health.
Ensure data hygiene, integrity, and compliance across Azure DevOps (ADO), and other portfolio management tools.
Automate reporting for real-time insights and visual storytelling.
Financial & Capacity Planning
Support budget planning cycles, business case refinement, and financial variance tracking.
Assist in maturing capacity management and resource planning capabilities.
Identify portfolio trends and provide actionable recommendations.
Process Improvement & Collaboration
Assist in and drive standardization and rollout of ADO best practices across portfolio teams.
Work closely with IT, finance, and other divisions to ensure alignment with enterprise governance.
Function as a key liaison between the Portfolio Director and delivery teams to facilitate progress and remove blockers.
This person will make an hourly rate between $50-60/hr.

Skills and Requirements
5+ years of portfolio analyst or project management experience
Experience running an Azure DevOps board while creating projects and feature stories
Experience with Power BI reporting and analysis Azure DevOps Admin skills
Previous financial company experience null
