Our financial department is currently seeking candidates for the position of:​ **Portfolio Accountant** **Poznań, Poland** **Your responsibilities:** In your role as an Portfolio Accountant, you will be responsible for Wholesale operations (factoring) which is related to performing various moderately complex professional accounting assignments requiring knowledge of business unit, company policy, or accounting theory. This includes coordinating, preparing and analyzing financial information and reports that provide summary information for management use in making company financial decisions. In addition, you will: + Calculate company revenue (compensation files for wholesale activities). + Participate in monthly financial closings in compliance with US GAAP for John Deere Financial and its branches/subsidiaries. + Prepare statistics files. + Prepare financial reports like Day 7 SEC Info Request, FFIEC 009 – Country Exposure Report and others. + Calculate provisions and accruals, conduct accounting entries in Oracle Financials and ensure proper reporting. + Perform balance sheet account reconciliations, including intercompany and cash transactions. + Support external, internal, and SOX audit processes, provide data, files and guidelines. + Act as one of the primary contact person for Portfolio Wholesale topics to the internal departments, internal and external auditors as well as other finance departments. + Be an active part of continuous improvement initiatives. + Support various projects and initiatives. **Our requirements:** + Solid knowledge and understanding of accounting principles (familiarity with US GAAP is a strong asset). + An effective communicator in English, both written and verbal, who thrives on challenges and enjoys contributing to a global, interdisciplinary team environment. + University degree in accounting, finances or audit or equivalent business experience. + Solid experience in the business use of MS Office especially MS Excel. + Strong analytical skills and affinity for numbers. + Accuracy, reliability, and consistency in task execution. + Solution-oriented & result-driven mindset. + Ability to work with data, driving conclusion from it. + Ability to plan and execute tasks independently. + Good communication and relationship skills, flexibility, and being a team player. **Nice to have:** + Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, + Oracle Financial, + Power Query, + SAP, + Finance experience such as banking, wholesale/retail credit, analysis, or underwriting. **What we offer:** + Employment contract. + Strong support for work-life balance, including flexible working hours (start time between 7:00 and 10:00 AM) and a hybrid work model at Business Garden in Poznań. + Opportunities for professional development within the company, with strong support for internal career growth. + Employee referral program. + Additional vacation days based on length of employment. + Holiday allowance when taking at least 2 weeks off. + Daily use of a foreign language in a friendly international working environment. + Private medical care, life insurance, sports card, meal allowance, language courses, a social fund budget, and various additional fun events in our office. + Free access to our e-learning platform, featuring over 1,000 courses, including offerings from LinkedIn Learning and Coursera. **Please attach an English version of your CV.** John Deere is an equal opportunity employer.
