We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Production Foreman – Underground Mining. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising daily underground mining production activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely execution of mining operations to meet production targets.

The ideal candidate must have:

Minimum of a Trade Certificate or Diploma in Mining or a related discipline (bachelor’s degree in mining engineering is advantageous) Minimum of 10 years’ experience in underground mining, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or foreman capacity Strong understanding of underground mining methods (such as stoping, development, and ground support installation) Proven track record of meeting or exceeding production targets safely and efficiently Solid leadership and team coordination skills Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities under pressure Excellent organizational and communication skills Proficiency in underground mining software or systems (e.g., Deswik, Pitram, etc.) is an advantage Good understanding of PNG mining regulations and safety standards Valid PNG Driving License is desirable

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate all underground production activities in accordance with the mine plan and safety standards Lead and manage production crews to ensure adherence to daily and weekly production targets Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments, addressing any issues or hazards Liaise with mine planning, geology, maintenance, and other departments to optimize production efficiency Monitor and report on shift performance, including tonnage, equipment utilization, and operational issues Promote a high-performance culture, mentoring and coaching team members as required Maintain accurate shift logs and production reports Ensure proper use and care of underground mobile equipment Uphold the PJV Occupational Health & Safety Policy and ensure all health rules and procedures are followed

Mobilization Requirements:

This position is open to PNG Citizens Only FIFO rotation: 21 days on / 14 days off Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening Must hold a current Police Clearance Certificate (issued within the last 6 months)
