A Pool Technician is responsible to maintain pools and water features in pristine condition Fulfil any duties assigned by the Engineering department management.

What will I be doing?
Inspects and performs maintenance tasks daily to ensure all pools and spas are clear in appearance and proper water balance is maintained. Checks all equipment components for proper operation. This requires the individual to be able to visually inspect and detect items needing repair and requires knowledge in the trade.

Maintains pool inventory of supplies needed to perform job function. Prepares requisition for purchase as required; all purchases must be approved by department managers.

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the resort.
\n\n\nMaintains the swimming pool and the water clarity always at best conditions \n\n
· Cleans and maintains water feature components.
\n· Ensures the application and the execution of a good preventive maintenance program for related equipment and machineries. Add the chemicals as instructed by the supervisor.
\n\n
· Carry out analysis of pool balance parameters daily and record them in the operational log sheets for reference of supervisor.
\n· Responsible for the maintenance of swimming pool interior lights. Is responsible for minor electrical maintenance of swimming pool pump stations.

What are we looking for?
\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
\nPerforming these duties requires experience in using basic hand and power tools and the ability to stoop, kneel, grasp, lift, push and pull weights up to 80 lbs., climb ladders up to 40 feet high and reach in all directions, often times overhead
\nQUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
\nEDUCATION
\nAny combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the position.
\nEXPERIENCE
\nBasic experience in maintenance trades, including electrical, plumbing, and mechanical. CPO certification is required and/or First Aid Training preferred.
\nLICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
\nAbility to obtain Certified Pool Operator license. Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate.CPR certification and/or First Aid training preferred. Any licenses or permits that may be required by law or company regulations.

\nAll employees must maintain a neat, clean and weel groomed appearance. Specific uniform guidelines and/ or required articles of clothing will be explained to you as part of the orientation process.
