Overview As a Pool Server, you would be responsible for serving food and/or beverages to guests in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: Respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner Ensure knowledge of menu and restaurant promotions and specials Take guest food and/or beverage orders and input orders in appropriate point-of-sale system Retrieve and deliver food and beverage orders in a timely manner Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service Serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages and food in accordance with federal, state, local and company regulations Ensure serving station is well-stocked at all times Prepare food occasionally Qualifications Job Requirements: The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using another combination of skills and abilities. Excellent command of English; verbal, reading and writing, and can effectively communicate information. Must have exceptional customer service skills with appropriate behavior and appearance expected at a 5-Star hotel. Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers with high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy. Basic mathematical and calculator skills. Ability to stand for long periods, up to entire shift; walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions. Able to extending arms; frequent bending and stooping and ability to carry and/or lift up to 50 lbs. Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations. Other Requirements: Food Handlers and ABC license/certificate. Prior customer service, hospitality and/or server experience required. All employees must maintain high standards of personal appearance, which includes a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available). Flexibility to work other shift times on occasion when needed and open to be trained in other guest services positions. Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $16.00/Yr. - $16.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
