Provides care for patients undergoing sleep studies and sleep disorder treatment. Performs EEGs as assigned. Reports to: Director - Cardiac-Pulmonary & Neurodiagnostics Prepares for the arrival of the patient by setting up and preparing the equipment for the ordered test. DragEditDelete Interviews patient to determine sleep disorder issues and to explain testing procedures. DragEditDelete Performs testing and any additional testing required for sleep disorder that is noted. DragEditDelete Scores, interprets, and reports results of sleep studies. Educates patients about test results, sleep disorders, community support groups, and available resources. DragEditDelete Prepares, calibrates, repairs, and maintains equipment required for testing. Determines and reports needed repairs and replacements. DragEditDelete Maintains proper supplies to care for patients. DragEditDelete Performs EEGs, as directed, utilizing proper technics with minimal repeats. DragEditDelete Assures that patients are scheduled properly and properly instructed of all requirements pertaining to the test DragEditDelete Assist in maintaining the laboratory and equipment DragEditDelete Assists in training of other personnel on performing EEGs *Minimum Education* High School diploma or GED - Required DragEditDelete *Minimum Education* Graduate of a Program in Discipline - Preferred DragEditDelete *Required Skills* Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. DragEditDelete *Required Skills* Certifications: BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) - Required to be current upon hire.
