UPMC is hiring a Full-Time, Polysomnographic Sleep Tech to support the Sleep Lab in Lititz. 

 

Schedule during training is 4-9hour days from 7:00am-4:30pm

After training schedule will be 3-12-hour shifts per week from 7:00pm-7:00am

Rotation of weekends will be required once training is completed

Purpose:
Under the supervision of physicians and in the presence of a Registered Sleep Technologist (RPSGT, or RRT-SDS, or RST), the Polysomnographic Sleep Technician (Poly tech) is responsible for performing patient care duties and providing customer service to clients of the sleep center, while completing the ASTEP program and on-the-job training.

Responsibilities:

Must enroll and complete the ASTEP program within 1 year of hire. While under direction of senior sleep lab staff according to department policy and procedure: Prepare patients for sleep testing. Educate patients on sleep lab testing procedure. Analyze and score sleep studies. Perform therapeutic treatments and interventions. Inventory and restock lab supplies. Clean equipment and patient rooms. Performs other duties as assigned Complete monthly ISR as a training scorer. Attend monthly staff meeting and required department/facility training. Performs duties in accordance with system-wide competencies and behaviors.
