Position Summary:

This position is responsible for creating a fun-filled and exciting gaming experience for our guests while ensuring the security of the Poker tables and all related equipment in their assigned pit area according to department policies and procedures.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:

Responsible for ensuring the security of the Poker tables and all related equipment in their assigned pit area according to department policies and proceduresAssists with the training, scheduling, counseling and supervision of the Poker staffEnsures the security of the Poker tables and all related equipment and keeps clear lines of communication with the Surveillance DepartmentEnforces Internal Controls and Commission regulationsImproves the skills of the staff through direct involvement, training, counseling and evaluation of their daily performance Services guests and employees and handles related issues with composure and professionalismGreets guests with a smile and friendly welcome and promotes superior guest service

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensures the accuracy and integrity of the Player Rating SystemKeeps abreast of all special events, entertainment and employee activities throughout the propertyProvides superior guest service

Minimum Education and Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalentTwo years of combined supervisory experience in Poker or previous Poker Pit Manager experience in a high volume, complex casino environmentMust be able to read, write and communication effectively in English

Competencies:  Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:

Excellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational and multi-tasking skills and the ability to delegate tasksAbility to efficiently maintain and supervise multiple gamesKnowledgeable of all department policies, procedures, rules and regulations pertaining to the game


 

Training Requirements:

Must attend all appropriate Human Resources Supervisor Training classesFully understands all Poker rules in The Poker Rule Book and Poker Policy and Procedure ManuelFully understands all gaming rules and regulationsRequired to attend annual CTR/SARC training and refresher coursesKnowledge of Ascent, EmpowerTime and Manager Self Service systems

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Must be able to bend, stand and stretch for long periods of timeMust be able to work in a casino environment with smoke, low lighting and loud music and noisesMust be able to work in a fast paced environment with frequent interruptionsMust be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
