The Project Management Office (PMO) provides resources, support, knowledge and coaching to the project management team to ensure a better performance along the project lifecycle. It is the backbone of the bids & projects department, responsible to set-up, maintain and improve an efficient management system across the portfolio, enabling a smooth and professional project execution.
Our PMO relies on a deep expertise in project management techniques (budget control, scheduling, risk management, contract management) and enables a data driven approach to support strategic decision making.

About your future job
Thales Huizen organization is looking for a PMO specialist to join our business unit “secure communications and information systems”, delivering high tech equipment to our military customers around the globe. Within this role, you are acting on one or multiple projects, acting as sparring partner of the Project Manager.
You play a crucial role in supporting project governance, standardization and execution: in addition to being responsible for schedule accuracy, you are also tracking risks, cost variances, and any other KPIs that will aid transparency on project progress. With your skills, experience and personality, you will be able to connect people, challenge the project office team and the project managers in achieving our commitments to worldwide customers.
The main tasks are:
Develop and implement PMO standards, methodologies and best practices to enhance project executionMonitor project performance, risks, and compliance, providing analysis and reporting on key metricsTrack all internal and external milestones for the project and the events they are dependent on.Performing data analyzes, calculations and cost consolidations (e.g. EAC validation, Earned Value Management, SPI/CPI, KPIs).About you
• Completed a Bachelor;
• Soft/interpersonal skills and team player;
• Experience with project planning and scheduling in a planning tool (e.g. Primavera);
• Pro-active, accurate and analytical and solution oriented;
• Strong communication skills in English. Dutch is a plus;
• Preferable IPMA D (or other) certified.
