Join a forward-thinking engineering team as a Plumbing Engineer where you will design and layout plumbing and fire suppression systems. In this fully remote role, you will design and document engineering plans, models, and riser diagrams, perform pipe sizing and equipment calculations, and assist in the preparation of design narratives and specifications. You will also prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations for plumbing installations, and attend client meetings when necessary.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and layout plumbing and fire suppression systems.Create engineering plans, models, and riser diagrams.Perform pipe sizing and equipment calculations.Prepare design narratives and specifications.Prepare detailed engineering drawings and calculations.Review RFI’s and Shop Drawings and perform Punch Lists.Attend client meetings when necessary.
Essential SkillsProficiency in Revit/BIM.Minimum of 3 years of experience in plumbing design for storm piping, sanitary waste, and domestic water/gas systems.Strong understanding of Plumbing Codes.
Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering.3-10 years of experience.Experience with AutoCAD, Revit is a plus.Understanding of National Standard Plumbing Codes.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.Experience in healthcare, field work, surveys, and punch lists.
Work Environment
Enjoy a collaborative and open floor plan in a newer office setting. This hybrid work environment allows for three days in the office (Tuesday to Thursday) and two days working from home (Monday and Friday). Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.29 - $60.10/hr.
